The Liberty Bison will challenge the Poly Bears at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Liberty turned things around against Orange Vista on Friday. They blew past the Coyotes 11-5.

| 04/17/26 vs Valley View | 3 |
The team relied heavily on Cameryn Rutkoff, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Yasmine Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Liberty kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 15 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Poly's hitters rose to the challenge against an Eagles pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.83 runs allowed on Friday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over Valley View. The Bears have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.
Marley Audoma made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Audoma was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Katelyn Cortez was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Violet Espin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Poly's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Liberty hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .423. However, it's not like Poly struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Liberty couldn't quite finish off Poly in their previous matchup on April 10th and fell 7-5. Will the Bison have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
