Baseball Game Preview: Terrebonne Tigers vs. South Lafourche Tarpons

Terrebonne hasn't had much luck against South Lafourche recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tarpons at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Terrebonne barely beat Bourgeois the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let the Braves get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, South Lafourche had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-3.

Julian Morales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Ledet, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Ress Duet was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

South Lafourche pushed their record up to 20-9 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Terrebonne, their win bumped their record up to 8-23.
