Beachside has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Nease has won eight straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Beachside Barracudas will welcome the Nease Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Beachside against Orange Park as the team secured a 48-20 victory. Given the Barracudas' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Raiders are ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of Beachside's win came down to the chemistry between Eddie Jordan and his top target Maddox Hunstad. Jordan threw for 367 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt while Hunstad picked up 176 receiving yards and five touchdowns. A healthy portion of Jordan's aerial production (114 yards to be exact) also went to Drew Watson.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nease). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-15 victory over Tocoi Creek. With the Panthers ahead 41-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

It was another big night for Nate Harry, who threw for 283 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Vernon Stephens, who picked up 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Nease didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Elisha Luckett III and Kash Kolbow.

Beachside is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Nease, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Friday's match will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Jordan and Harry. Jordan has put up some stellar numbers this year, and currently owns excellent season averages 266.1 passing yards and has 24 passing touchdowns on the season. For his part, Harry has averaged 202.1 passing yards and has 18 passing touchdowns on the season.
