Mundelein had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Grayslake Central Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in April.

Mundelein easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19.

Kevin Mann paced Mundelein's offense, picking up ten kills. Mann got some help from Zack Nocera and his 17 assists. Finally, Jarrett Chico kept Mundelein's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Mundelein pushed their record up to 27-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Grayslake Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 26-7.

Mundelein and Grayslake Central should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Mustangs will take on Zion-Benton at 1:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 166). Meanwhile, Grayslake Central (ranked 44th) will meet Carmel (ranked 153rd) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
