The Cannon Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Greensboro Day School Bengals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cannon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Cannon will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Carmel Christian on Thursday. Cannon's defense stepped up to hand Carmel Christian a 4-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Cannon's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Carmel Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brooke McGibbons, Mia Valencia, Anna Lomax, and Sophie Condon.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greensboro Day School). Everything went their way against Carolina Friends on Friday as Greensboro Day School made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bengals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Greensboro Day School's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Cannon, the win got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Cannon took their victory against Greensboro Day School when the teams last played back in March of 2021 by a conclusive 4-0. Does Cannon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greensboro Day School turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
