Football Game Preview: Scott County Cardinals vs. Woodford County Yellowjackets + Official Tickets

The Scott County Cardinals are taking a road trip to challenge the Woodford County Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

If Scott County beats Woodford County with 49 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Cardinals simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat South Oldham 49-21. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Woodford County strolled past Collins with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-24. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Yellowjackets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Titans are ranked 43rd).

Woodford County's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Scott County, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Scott County couldn't quite finish off Woodford County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 38-35. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
