Holmen is a perfect 10-0 against La Crosse Central since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. Holmen will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
On Tuesday, Holmen made easy work of Aquinas and carried off a 3-0 win.
Holmen never let Aquinas on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-23.

Sadie Mayer was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 11 assists and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Holmen was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aquinas only served two.
Meanwhile, La Crosse Central came up short against Onalaska on Tuesday and fell 3-1.
La Crosse Central was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Onalaska work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18.
Holmen will have to keep a close watch on Gabriella Zeeb and Celia Christopherson, a pair of players who had a big impact on La Crosse Central's prior game. Zeeb had 11 digs and three aces, while Christopherson had 30 digs and seven assists.
Holmen's victory bumped their record up to 21-0. As for La Crosse Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Holmen has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.8 aces per game. However, it's not like La Crosse Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
