Softball Recap: Hickory Ridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Hickory Ridge and Reagan squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hickory Ridge had to settle for second. They fell 7-3 to the Raiders.

Embler Kristyn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hickory Ridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Morgan, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Hickory Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Reagan, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Hickory Ridge nor Reagan have any future games scheduled.
