Kip Martens posted a new career-high in runs on Thursday. He got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and one double. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Lena-Winslow back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Martens is becoming a predictor of Pearl City's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-1 (and 4-7 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Martens and Pearl City will take on East Dubuque at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
