Baseball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Chargers vs. Christchurch School Seahorses
Isle of Wight Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Christchurch School Seahorses by a score of 6-2. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Seahorses: they've now won eight in a row.
Logan Springle made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Wyatt King was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Zac Perry was another key player, getting three hits from his three at bats.
Isle of Wight Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christchurch School only posted a batting average of .120.
Isle of Wight Academy's record now sits at 6-4. As for Christchurch School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Coincidentally, Isle of Wight Academy and Christchurch School will both be playing The Covenant the next time they take the field. The Seahorses will host the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Chargers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
