Basketball Recap: Turlock Takes a Loss

Turlock lost against Edison back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Turlock Bulldogs took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edison Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while the Vikings are ranked 177th).

Edison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David White Ll, who went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points. White Ll is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tytus Billingsly, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Turlock has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Edison, their record is now 7-5.

Turlock will square off against Buhach Colony at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th. As for Edison, they will challenge McClymonds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edison is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.
