Basketball Game Preview: Pawnee City Indians vs. Southern Raiders

Pawnee City hasn't had much luck against Southern recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pawnee City Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Southern Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Pawnee City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Southern likes a good challenge.

Pawnee City is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Parkview Christian: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Pawnee City blew Parkview Christian out of the water with a 67-30 final score. The Indians pushed the score to 54-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots had no chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Southern posted their closest victory since January 11th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Thayer Central 49-46.

Pawnee City's record now sits at 13-7. As for Southern, their record now sits at 10-11.

Pawnee City was able to grind out a solid victory over Southern in their previous meeting last Saturday, winning 60-53. Will Pawnee City repeat their success, or does Southern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
