It was a good run, but Lewistown unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brimfield. Lewistown was not able to make up for their loss to Brimfield from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Lewistown was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Brimfield work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16.

Lewistown's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Brimfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Lewistown will welcome Farmington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brimfield, they are taking a road trip to take on Henry-Senachwine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
