Preview: Cardinal O'Hara Lions vs. La Salle College Explorers
The Cardinal O'Hara Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the La Salle College Explorers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Cardinal O'Hara and five for La Salle College.
Last Thursday, Cardinal O'Hara came up short against Archbishop Ryan and fell 62-50. Cardinal O'Hara has struggled against Archbishop Ryan recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, La Salle College pushed their score all the way to 64 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Archbishop Wood. While losing is never fun, La Salle College can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Archbishop Wood is ranked 24th).
Cardinal O'Hara's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-8. As for La Salle College, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Cardinal O'Hara strolled past La Salle College in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 60-44. Will Cardinal O'Hara repeat their success, or does La Salle College have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
