After a string of three wins, Sloan-Hendrix's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Izard County Cougars. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Sloan-Hendrix saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Wall, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Sloan-Hendrix's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Izard County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sloan-Hendrix will head out to square off against Corning at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Izard County, they will venture away from home to face off against Cotter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
