Volleyball Recap: Pike County Falls to St. Anne-Pacelli in First Game of Season

Pike County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings on Thursday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2020.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14.

The win was the sixth in a row (dating back to last season) for St. Anne-Pacelli, bringing their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, Pike County and St. Anne-Pacelli will both be playing Upson-Lee the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
