Soccer Game Preview: Southwestern Randolph vs. Randleman

The Southwestern Randolph Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Randleman Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Southwestern Randolph lost 10-1 to Providence Grove last Thursday. Southwestern Randolph were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Ashlynn Harbor, who's now up to 16 this season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Randleman's offense. They came up short against Wheatmore last Wednesday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Randleman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while Wheatmore are ranked 138th).

Randleman has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Southwestern Randolph, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11.
