Sequoia came out on top against Monte Vista Christian on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Ravens sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Morgan Winfield, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Sequoia's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Monte Vista Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
