Baseball Recap: Jackson County Central Comes Up Short

Jackson County Central fell victim to Redwood Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 16-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 7-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Jackson County Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Storm, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That hit was Storm's first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Jackson County Central and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Redwood Valley, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

While Jackson County Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
