Volleyball Recap: Olpe Comes Up Short

Olpe lost against Goessel back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Bluebirds by a score of 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Olpe sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 24-26, 25-20.

Lilly Skalsky paced Olpe's offense, picking up nine kills. Skalsky got some help from Kayla Steinke and her 12 assists.

Olpe's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Goessel, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Olpe will welcome Waverly on Tuesday. As for Goessel, they will head out on the road to square off against Solomon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
