Softball Recap: Sequatchie County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bledsoe County on Monday, Sequatchie County came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Marion County Warriors on Tuesday, falling 20-10. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-6 loss on Friday.

Lexie Hall was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Ainsley Pickett was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

Sequatchie County's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Marion County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-7.

Sequatchie County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Cannon County on the 11th. Marion County has also already played their next game (against Smith County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
