Softball Recap: San Pedro Comes Up Short

If San Pedro was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Legacy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates fell just short of the Warren Bears by a score of 7-5 on Saturday.

San Pedro saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marilyn Reza, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

San Pedro has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Warren, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Looking ahead, San Pedro will square off against Banning at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pilots have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Warren, they will challenge Legacy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
