Recap: Marshall Rams vs. Johnson Jaguars        
        
		
            
 The Marshall Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a  59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Johnson. Marshall has not had much luck with Johnson recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Despite the  loss, Marshall saw an underclassman step up:  Josiah Powell  scored eight points along with five  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Jayden Flores, who  scored nine points.
 Even though they lost, Marshall  were working as a unit and  finished the game with 11  assists. This was only their 13th loss (out of 18 games) when  they've passed the ball that well.
 Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Johnson, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall will  challenge Churchill at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Churchill presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Marshall in Texas (Churchill is ranked 421st, while Marshall is ranked 888th). As for Johnson, they will head out on the road to face off against Lee at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
