Basketball Recap: University Prep Value Comes Up Short

The University Prep Value Wolves came up short against the USC-MAE Trojans on Thursday, falling 55-33.

Leading USC-MAE to victory were Adrion Gilbert and Andrew Johnson. Gilbert almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards, while Johnson went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. The matchup was Gilbert's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Liam Gilbert, who posted ten points.

University Prep Value dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for USC-MAE, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, University Prep Value will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Fulton at 10:30 a.m. As for USC-MAE, they will take on Downtown Magnets at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
