After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Muenster, De Leon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They really took it to the Hico Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-27 win. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
De Leon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Heston Jobe, who threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Jobe is becoming a predictor of the Bearcats' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Colt Schwertner helped Jobe out on the ground, rushing for 66 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries.
