Volleyball Game Preview: Firebaugh Falcons vs. Glenn Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Firebaugh didn't have quite enough to beat Leuzinger and fell 3-2. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Olympians 25-15 in the first set.

Firebaugh actually scored more points across those five sets (108-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Glenn lost 3-0 to Buena Park on Monday.

While Glenn ultimately came up short, they really made Buena Park work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 25-16.

Firebaugh now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Glenn, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Firebaugh came out on top in a nail-biter against Glenn in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Will Firebaugh repeat their success, or does Glenn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
