Preview: Westview Chargers vs. Dorman Cavaliers

Having just played yesterday, the Westview Chargers will jump right back in to play the Dorman Cavaliers at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Westview is looking to tack on another W to their 12-game streak on the road dating back to last season.

On Thursday, Westview earned a 58-46 win over King's Fork. Given Westview's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 12th in Tennessee, while King's Fork is ranked 230th in Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kylee Alexander was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points. The matchup was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mccall Sims, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, Dorman unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of J.L. Mann.

Nakiyah Kelly put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rihanna Wallace , who scored 13 points.

Westview's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Dorman, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Westview hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 52.9 points per game. However, it's not like Dorman struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 56.1 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
