Softball Game Preview: Sand Rock Wildcats vs. Collinsville Panthers

The Sand Rock Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Collinsville Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sand Rock is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Sand Rock came up short against West End and fell 10-5.

Meanwhile, Collinsville also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Geraldine by a score of 9-4. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Sand Rock's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Collinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13-1.

Everything went Sand Rock's way against Collinsville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Sand Rock made off with a 14-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
