Softball Game Preview: Terre Haute South Vigo Braves vs. Vincennes Lincoln Alices

The Terre Haute South Vigo Braves will venture away from home to take on the Vincennes Lincoln Alices at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Terre Haute South Vigo managed to slip by Bloomington South the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Braves came up short against the Panthers on Thursday, falling 8-1. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Terre Haute South Vigo saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Cesinger, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Vincennes Lincoln's offense. They lost 6-0 to North Daviess on Thursday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Alices were not able to get on the board.

Vincennes Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Terre Haute South Vigo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Terre Haute South Vigo took their victory against Vincennes Lincoln in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
