Volleyball Recap: Onaga Comes Up Short

Onaga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Axtell Eagles. The Buffaloes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Despite the defeat, Onaga saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Boswell had seven digs and one assist.

Onaga's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Axtell, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11-2 record this season.

Onaga will challenge Washington County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Axtell, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Centralia on the 7th.
