Soccer Recap: Springfield Southeast Takes a Loss

Springfield Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Bloomington Purple Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Springfield Southeast of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Springfield Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15-2. As for Bloomington, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-2.

Coming up, Springfield Southeast will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. Lincoln will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Springfield Southeast surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bloomington, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 4-2 win against Danville on the 7th.
