Preview: Caravel vs. St. Elizabeth

St. Elizabeth had trouble last week, and unfortunately for them, their next opponent is a big step up in difficulty. They will head out on the road to face off against Caravel at 7 p.m. ET on Friday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, St. Elizabeth now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.

It was close but no cigar for the Vikings as they fell 24-21 to Indian River. The Vikings got a solid performance out of Alex Rollo, who caught four passes for 86 yards and three TDs; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. St. Elizabeth received support from Rollo on the other side of the ball, too, as he amassed nine tackles. Rollo's sharp night set his single-game touchdown high for the season.

Meanwhile, Caravel kept a clean sheet against Delaware Military Academy. Caravel claimed a resounding 44-0 victory over Delaware Military Academy. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30 to nothing.

Caravel's win lifted them to 7-2 while St. Elizabeth's defeat dropped them down to 2-7. We'll see if Caravel's success rolls on or if the Vikings are able to steal their positive momentum.
