Baseball Game Preview: Childersburg Tigers vs. Prattville Christian Academy Panthers

For the second straight game, Childersburg will face off against Prattville Christian Academy. The Tigers will square off against the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Childersburg has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Prattville Christian Academy will arrive with five straight victories.

Childersburg heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. They fell 5-0 to Prattville Christian Academy.

For Prattville Christian Academy's part, Childersburg's batters probably weren't too happy with Blake Bowman, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (he gave up zero walks). Bowman has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Conner Williams was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Ethan Walls was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Prattville Christian Academy pushed their record up to 28-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Childersburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17-1.
