Softball Game Preview: Hebbronville Longhorns vs. Poth Pirates

The Hebbronville Longhorns will face off against the Poth Pirates at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hebbronville will be strutting in after a victory while Poth will be coming in after a defeat.

Hebbronville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Del Rio, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Hebbronville was the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over Del Rio on Friday. Considering the Longhorns have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Poth didn't have quite enough to beat Somerset on Friday and fell 7-5.

Poth saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Urbanczyk, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Urbanczyk also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Maddie Reynolds was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Hebbronville moved to 5-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Poth, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
