Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Saratoga Springs walked away with it. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Blue Streaks as they're now sitting on eight straight.

The team relied heavily on Raul Rodriguez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Saratoga Springs pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Christian Brothers Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Saratoga Springs didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Shaker on the 24th. Christian Brothers Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
