Baseball Game Preview: Carteret Ramblers vs. J.P. Stevens Hawks

For the second straight game, Carteret will face off against J.P. Stevens. Carteret will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on J.P. Stevens at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Carteret is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of J.P. Stevens by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Eric Thompson and Lucas Rivera stepped up to the plate in a big way. Thompson scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Rivera went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave Thompson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Nelan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
