After a string of ten wins, Auburndale's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to the Assumption Royals at home by a 56-40 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Apaches this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-22 back in December of 2024.

Auburndale's loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3. As for Assumption, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

When Auburndale and Assumption next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Auburndale will take on Pittsville and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Auburndale will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. Meanwhile, Assumption will try to stop Neillsville's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
