Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbian). They came out on top against the Sandusky Blue Streaks by a score of 69-59 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-44 back in January.
Several Blue Streaks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maekayla Rameau, who went 10 for 24 on her way to 24 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. That was a full 40.7% of Sandusky's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Shauntha Wilson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.
Columbian's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Sandusky, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
