The league's top two teams in the standings locked horns this week, as Sunnyslope took home a 9-2 victory over Saguaro on Thursday.
Sunnyslope leads II Section III with an 8-0 record, and has an overall record of 27-4.
Saguaro's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 14 hits and 10 walks to lead the league in both categories. The Sabercats have given up a mere 240 hits on the year in addition to compiling 189 strikeouts.
Alan Madsen is the leader in that category with 61 Ks on the season.
