Softball Recap: Maryville Takes a Loss

The Maryville Red Rebels lost 15-2 to the Karns Beavers on Wednesday. The Red Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maryville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Maples, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Maryville's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Karns, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.

Maryville and Karns should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Red Rebels (ranked 69th) will meet Carter (ranked 200th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Karns will face off against Campbell County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (41 vs. 224).
