Volleyball Recap: Garner Takes a Loss

The Garner Longhorns came up short against the Collinsville Pirates on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Makayla Gonzalez paced Garner's offense, picking up five kills. Gonzalez got some help from Kaylin Long and her seven assists.

Garner now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Collinsville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garner will venture away from home to take on Saint Jo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Longhorns are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Collinsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Chico at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
