Basketball Recap: West Rusk Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kimora Pryor and Keke Murphy

West Rusk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between them and the Sabine Cardinals didn't end well, with the West Rusk Raiders falling 53-34. The Raiders were down 46-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

West Rusk's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Keke Murphy, who posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, and Kimora Pryor, who put up 15 points along with six boards and four blocks. That's the most blocks Pryor has posted since back in November of 2024.

West Rusk's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Sabine, they pushed their record up to 7-17 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

West Rusk didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-46 defeat against Arp on the 17th. Sabine has also already played their next game (against Troup), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
