Basketball Recap: Tawas Area Comes Up Short

Tawas Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 89-54 loss at the hands of the Alpena Wildcats. The Braves were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Tawas Area's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Alpena, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Tawas Area has already played their next match (against Rogers City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Alpena will head out to take on Traverse City West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Traverse City West's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while Alpena has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
