Water Canyon had lost 17 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-15 to make it 18. They came up short against the Kanab Cowboys, falling 19-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-0 on Tuesday.

As for Kanab, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

For Kanab's part, Kash Kabonic made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those 11 strikeouts gave Kabonic a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kanab got a massive performance out of Walker Baird, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Baird has posted since back in May of 2024. Kale Glover was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Coming up, Water Canyon will challenge Millard at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kanab does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
