Baseball Recap: Johansen Vikings vs. Lathrop Spartans
Johansen had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-11 to make it five. They fell just short of the Lathrop Spartans by a score of 7-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 on Tuesday.
Lava Vaka made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Adrian Regalado, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
As for Lathrop, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch.
