Football Recap: Griffith Institute Takes a Loss

Griffith Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 68-34 loss at the hands of the Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale Central Panthers. Even if the Griffins couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Griffith Institute's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Griffith Institute will face off against Akron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Griffins surely won't give up without a fight. As for Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale Central, they will square off against Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
