Soccer Recap: Nettleton Comes Up Short

Nettleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Memphis Blue Devils. One thing that didn't help Nettleton's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Joshua Wright.

Fidel Angeles wasn't going to let West Memphis walk away unscathed as he scored both of Nettleton's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Nettleton's loss dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for West Memphis, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7-1 and their overall record up to 2-9-1.

Nettleton didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against Greene County Tech on the 23rd. West Memphis has also already played their next contest (against Searcy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
