Baseball Recap: Imlay City Comes Up Short

Imlay City was the 2-0 winner over Brandon when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered since March 21st.

Imlay City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Detwiler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Imlay City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Brandon, they moved to 6-10 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Imlay City nor the Blackhawks have any future games scheduled.
