Basketball Recap: Bladensburg Takes a Loss

Bladensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 74-8 defeat at the hands of the Bowie Bulldogs . While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 91st).

Bladensburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bowie, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bladensburg and Parkdale will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Parkdale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bowie, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Laurel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
