Basketball Recap: Georgia Military College Comes Up Short

Georgia Military College lost against Johnson County last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Georgia Military College Bulldogs lost to the Johnson County Trojans on the road by a 64-46 margin. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Georgia Military College still got an impressive performance from Tommy Carty, who posted 12 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Adams, who scored three points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Even though they lost, Georgia Military College smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Johnson County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daezon Devero, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 14 points in addition to six assists and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Devero a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (60%). Tayshawn Norris was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Georgia Military College's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Johnson County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Georgia Military College does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Johnson County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-52 loss against Hancock Central on the 13th.
